Alex Tremulis Hood Ornament, 1951
This is a really obscure and rare hood ornament that I accidentally came across a picture about June some time, and that is when I decided to maybe collect hood ornaments, was booked to bid in the auction the last Sunday of July, and this is number one of part of a collection I was buying today. Each lot I shall list separate, on what I was successful on, so there will be lots of hood ornaments coming. I bought 20 different lots.
This was item # 1 at the auction. I had absolutely no idea what the Alex Tremulis Spaceship go for, but I wanted it badly, and I knew before the auction I had a least 4 serious competitors for the piece.
So before I knew it I was at 1300. and not sure yet till I get the bill how much over I paid for it, but I knew it would not be cheap and I knew I had to have one !!
I posted on another blog site a lot about this man, Alex Tremulis and his genius in the world of cars, so long before the Starship Enterprise came to fruition, Alex was inspiring the people who made the show on so many things. Here is a website with more info on this piece and the genius of Alex Tremulis !!~

Comments were deleted by mistake ! They gave me a false alarm and no way to reach the auction today, my heart sank to the floor -- just hope I can pick up the pieces and get my otherwise excellent mood back !!~

That stinks Phil ! To repeat " Way Too Cool Phil " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the loves and likes, and the guy at the auction site said I never got it because it was not on the bill, I kind of freaked out as 3 others that I won were not there also, but later found out the auction bills 2 kinds of ways, bids left on line, which I did, and the lots I did by phone bidding were on another bill !~
