Purchased this C.A. Taylor trunk last week. What I am really interested in is finding out about the person shown inside the trunk. I have not been able to find anything on the internet. His name is O. W. Murphy. He is listed as a Pianist for Murphy-Grey Orchestra out of Danville, IL, and band leader of "Beveridge Players". Also "Ragtime Murphy" is stenciled on the top. Brass tag on top with number. This is my first trunk purchase. Would love to hear opinions about the trunk, how to date the trunk, and ideas on how to find out about the previous owner. thanks
