This is an 1835 5 Francs coin that has been split in two and connected together with a rim that opens to a nice storage compartment. This was given to me for my birthday by a very dear friend who inserted a nice greeting inside the compartment. He has given me many, many unique gifts including a trade dollar that truly does have a secret compartment.

Very Nice item (coin) and a great gift, you have a very nice friend if judged by his or her gifts. As a former drug investigator this item would have been over look if a search was done in a rush. Now the officer searching would stop to look at the old coin, and it would be discovered. Very nice Hardbrake
