At the same estate sale where I acquired those great Jimmy Buffett glass floats, I also bought these books. This is the complete bound first three years of the magazine “Ships and the Sea.” From vol. 1, no. 0, Jan. 1951, through vol. 3, no. 9, Spring, 1954. Each bound volume has every issue for that year, plus a bonus issue. For the first year, it was called “Ships and Sailing”, they changed the name to “Ships and the Sea” starting with the second year.
Each volume is packed with 100's of black and white photographs and all kinds of factual information. It always amazes me what is left on the last day of an estate sale.
