I found this trunk not long ago up in Michigan. From the hardware and style I estimate the age is 1880's to 1890's. One special feature is the unusual split double tray inside. The back part folds up into the lid and has three compartments inside. The old chromolithographs are still there also. I really like the exterior look also with the fancy tack work and ornate hardware and metal. It makes a great side table.
