whats meant by "dollar " watch?
Thanks mikielikesigns2 for the appreciation.
A "dollar watch" is a inexpensive, non-jeweled watch which generally sold for $1.00-$3.50. Robert H. Ingersoll made the watch that made the dollar famous.

Mikie, I know I'm not answering for Dave. These types of watches were sold by the thousands for a dollar, back in the day. They were known as dollar watches because of that and the movements were not a high quality jeweled . Ingersoll made the "Dollar" watch logo famous.
