Mo' stuff. Meerschaum pipe with Kaiser Wilhelm II carved bust. This was given to me by an Aussie friend along with some Aussie WWI medals.
Had it out to mail for a replacement stem as this amber stem is badly broken. Humm, wonder if the supplier can have teeth- marks put on it to look original since I quit my pipe decades ago?
Has hinged case. No chips or damage other than the stem. Anybody have a ball-park idea of it's value?

Neat pipe! Not Kaiser Wilhelm II though. Looks more like Field Marshal Mackensen.
Yeah! Who the hell is Field Marshal Mackensen? Never mind, I can goggle that. Never even considered that it could be somebody else as it came with WWI medals.
Thanks.
I think Mackensen had more hair - although when the top of your head is a pipe bowl, it's a bit harder to tell. It would explain what looks like hussar trim on his uniform, as he often wore the uniform of the 1st Lieb Hussars - and he did wear the Pour le Merit.
Did some looking & think U are right about it being Mackensen. He had a part in his hair & the carving is in such detail that it should be there. Unfortunately it is boxed for mailing to get a new stem so will ck when it gets back.
Along with the pipe & Aussie medals was a Serbian silver bracelet. He was captured by the Serbs & now that gets the old imagination stirred up. "If they could only talk". The bracelet is also on C.W. if U are interested near the pipe listing.
I had just assumed Wilhelm & you guys opened up a whole different facet & that's what is nice about this site. Knowledge of others. Thanks.
Very nice!
Great Meerschaum pipe!
