I bought this necklace yesterday at a flea market. I think it's silver but there are no markings on it. I don't think the chain is original, so I replaced it with a better fitting one. (not in the picture). I don't even know if it started life as a necklace, because it has no hooks fixed to it. It looks as though someone at one time just decided to put it on a chain.
The rhinestones are set with open back. Some of the rhinestones are missing, but I don't mind. I just like the 'rustic' look of it.
I don't really know if it's old. I guess they still make this sort of thing new. Anyone an idea of its age?
Thanks a lot!
