Hi, I have a very very old Japanese doll. She looks like a friendship doll only smaller. There is a thin paper under her kimono that has writing on it. Looks like her legs are made of pressed wood or pressed sawdust. Do you have any ideal what kind of doll she is? Thank you....Toni

Japan made Geisha doll. her face is made of "Gofu" crushed oyster shell's . She has very nice glass eyes and seems to date from 1940's to 50's . These were novelty dolls not play things and sold to USA . Since our site doesn't give out monetary value I am referring you to one similar at auction . Doll prices have come down and fluctuate day to day in past 2 years . She is very nice and thanks for sharing her .
