    Saw this the other day. looks to be complete,including the batteries. In need of refinishing but all natural wood. No idea as to age.

      Come on people, identify the make. I like old termite fodder phones. Did the dry cell batteries eliminate the need for the hand cranked generator?

      CAD1849, Your wall telephone looks to be a 1930's Western Electric. It is missing the magneto, the batteries provided a talk path. Batteries and magneto's were elimiated when the telephone company converted to common battery supplied from the central office.
