Steuben Aurene is wonderful in the basic colors; gold and blue. Here is my (small) collection of aurene candlesticks, and the only Steuben floriform vase I have. The vase has a beautiful L.C. Tiffany-esque shape, and is probably early. It is properly marked 'aurene' and the shape number 524. I have never seen another like it. The blue candlesticks are taller than the regular size (9-3/4" vs. 8" for the gold) and have great color! I have noticed that solid aurene (and favrile) pieces seem to have drooped a tad in value lately, but I can't imagine why! I love the gold and blue, especially together. Come on; what's not to love?
