Until a week ago, I owned one paperweight. It was a gift when I was little, about 50 years ago. It's a milliefiore style. Then, I went to a little thrift shop literally 'down by the tracks' and found this one. Now, I can't stop looking at paperweights when I go snooping. It may be nothing more than some Chinese import, and if it is I don't care. I LOVE it! It's cobalt, the flowers are just beautiful to look at, and the green leaves set them off wonderfully. I know nothing about paperweights that aren't milliefiore.
So, I'm hoping that someone can tell me what type this is. I have read about different types, but none that I have seen/heard described sound like this one looks. The pictures don't do it justice, but I hope it's enough for someone with the knowledge to be able to give me some idea of how old it may be and the name of the style. It is very well finished on the bottom, not polished but perfectly smooth and the flower stems come together in a tiny point at the bottom. If you need a picture of the bottom, please let me know and I'll post one! Thanks for taking the time to look and for any help you can give me. It cost me less than a fancy cup of coffee, so I'm a happy camper! :-)

Thanks for the love inky, miKKoChristmas, walksoftly, mustangtony, BELLIN68 and vetraio50. Thanks for the comment inky. I love the colors and shape of the flowers. I just wish I knew more about it!
I hope you'll all forgive me for being so lax about commenting on your new posts and thanking you for the loves. Jim is feeling much better and we have been 'out and about' a lot lately at the local antique shows, flea markets and fairs that are so numerous this time of year. Once he gets back to work, mid September I should be back on more frequently. I apologize for any new posts that I have yet to love or comment on. I have a lot of catching up to do!
Your very welcome china blue:)
I love the blue color in this plate.
Thanks ttomtucker. I'm a sucker for blue.. especially cobalt. If it's blue and/or has roses.. well, suffice it to say I'm running out of room in my house. *L*
Thanks for the love vintagemad, toolate2, Manikin, AmberRose, and chevy59!
