My favorite salesman sample, if an unusual one. A floor tile sample! Note actual scuff marks as a customer (or salesman) "tested it out" with his heel. Inlaid color changes show a cool mid-century modern tile option, reverse provides manufacturer name and a more typical tile design for the rumpus room or ping-pong area in the finished basement! The modern graphic design is lovely. Circa 1950 is my guess.

I love the old floor prints ! Be careful they are most apt to be asbestos . What a great find !
an artist/painter friend in nyc used to do elaborate oil paintings of linoleum floors - scuff marks and all. he would take days to do a single floor tile and then sell it as a painting to hang on the wall. this kind of reminds me of that.
