i opened up this old framed picture the other day and found the second one on the back of it. they look like professional illustrations, but i couldn't find anything about a 'Dolf Yar' in san francisco or anywhere else. am i reading it right? anyone know anything about him?

Hi, ho2cultcha! Yes, I think that your reading of the name is correct, 'Dolf Yar'. I tried Dolf Yar, Adolf Yar, Adolph Yar, and plain Yar, and I came up empty handed. Love the illustrations! I suggest that you telephone or email the San Francisco historical society and inquire if they have any Yar holdings, or any info on the artist.
Perhaps a street artist? The are great regardless. How big are they?
Nice when you find something hidden like that!
yes, i agree walksoftly. i just found another hidden 'poster' i'll post now...
