These McCoy bowls range in size from 14" down to 6"... They are in the same pattern as the McCoy bread bowl my wife's mother had when my wife was little. She has very fond memories of her mother making yeast rolls in that bowl so of course... we had to buy every size they made...lol...

I found a McCoy piece while pulling items to post.
I bought it from a local flea market 2-3 years ago, I didn't realize it was a McCoy.

Oh my ... Now the memory of, yes, my grandma using one for bread ... My gosh, is the one i posted from my grandmother and my dads was not as deep used for serving ? Is there one that is not as deep but just as wide ?

I went by the pattern from my memory .... I didn't realize there was a whole set of this pattern ...

The one you posted is the 12" size measuring across the top. The biggest one we've found to date...lol... is the 14." At 14" across it's a pretty big bowl! We keep potatoes in it and onions in the 12... There were soup bowls made in this pattern and they're quite a bit shallower. Maybe that's what you're remembering. The 14 is what my wife's mother used as her bread bowl... Happy Easter and happy hunting!!

Toolate2 ... Thanks to you and your wife for sharing this post ... My wife seems to have a better memory than me ... She is saying that ours is from my grandma after she passed ... That would then, yes, be the bowl my dad's mother made her dough in ... Then she would cover with a towel and let rise ... His spaghetti serving bowl would be not as deep ...
