Foreign Section of Twenty-Sixth International Exhibition of Paintings from Carnegie Institute at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, San Francisco, California April Second to May Third, Nineteen Hundred and Twenty Eight.
I love it when i find something i bought on a whim years ago and it turns out to be fascinating. This catalog is a fascinating look at Europe from an American pov in 1928. I picked it up this evening and couldn't put it down until i read it from cover to cover. i wonder if the edvard munch is considered part of the 'Scream' series? There are many interesting pieces in this catalog - pretty much all european / russian.
I've been an art history buff for a very long time, and i'm so glad i picked up / found so many old exhibition catalogs.
