With the camera I have and my shaky hands, I think this is as good (clear) as it's going to get.
Thanks for the date, eye4beauty and info, vetraio50.
an estate auction
not sure; so long ago
use the timer on the camera and have the camera just sit on the surface and it will take the camera and no more shaky hands , very beautiful vase :)
eyes4beauty: you know it's worth a lot more than that; and Bellin68: how could this object possibly be a vase? My photo isn't THAT bad. It's just a figurine, or bookend, or paperweight. Take your pick.
peace; out
Have a look for anything at the base that looks like any kind of writing,or man made marks.
I have the same pouter pigeon, which was owned by an elderly friend of my mom's, and was passed on to me upon the friend's death. (I had always admired it at her house.) She always had the bird sitting in a wide, shallow clear glass bowl, with water in the bowl and an ivy plant twining around the base of the bird. So I have inherited the bowl too, but I'm wondering if it too was made by the Paden City glass company, as was the bird. There are no maker marks on the bird or bowl. The bowl is plain, no etching decoration on it.
