Willem Heesen Bowl 18 cm high top 21 cm wide signed 850339 O'Horn
A W.Heesen titled "along the waterfront"( all heesens objects and bowls were named ). Made at the Oude Horn in Acquoy (at this time Heesen blows his own glass objects ). Yellowish, inclosed colored glassthreats and clear glassthreads on the outside, various irisee colors pink ,green yellow brown tried to capture these on pic 2. in sun light the edge turns green in normal daylight is is yellow ( you can see this slightly in pic 1 )
The work of Willem Heesen, vases and bowls, the autonomous objects and flat glass panels, always refer to nature. The landscape around the Linge, the mystery of life in the water, by Heesen poëtisch translated in his entire oeuvre. Heesen knows like no other to give a simple bowl or vase the illusion of a sunset on the Linge, on the banks of reeds or threatening skies with approaching storm.
