Found this the other day among my fathers possessions, it belonged to a cousin. She had received this as a gift from her Sunday School Classmates on December 21, 1908. She passed away 14 months later at the age of eleven, & her sister kept it until she passed away 70+ years later.

The Girl’s Own Annual is a British book that was published from 1880-1940. It was a year’s cumulation of The Girl’s Own Paper which originally came out weekly until 1908 when it became a monthly publication. One could liken it to a modern teen magazine, in that it related to young women and their interests. And how the interests have changed. And how.

Thanks for the kind words Bellin, it's 800 pages of nice illustrations & stories. But some of the advice is no longer fashionable.
I'll try to post some more.

The story is bittersweet, but the annual is delightful. Beautiful, just beautiful! I especially love the Sweet Lilac print.
