    Okay so now I have a collection. I don't know how it happened, I believed they just appeared. Yep just before I went on a week holiday, I ran into the thrift. It was packed with really good stuff, including these two beauties. I believe they are newer, but don't care...Anyone help on what the labels say is greatly appreciated.
    Still don't know how this happened...

      These are both Sosaku (creative) type of Kokeshi. The one with bow tie hair is by Aoki Ryoko the other is by Kaganuma (some translators give Kagnuma) Masayuki and is close in design to a traditional Naruko style Kokeshi.

      Hi AmberRose I recently discovered that The one with the bow tie is by Ryoichi (listed in the book Wooden Treasures of Japan). Totally different artist from Aoki Ryoko. Wanted to update -Soul
