…but in this case it turned out well.
I saw this vase listed last week and put in my snipe program without thinking and forgot about it. To my surprise, I won it!
I panicked a bit wondering what in heck was I paying for. Thankfully, I have some very smart glass collector friends (Deb and Warren) who let me know what I bought – a Carl Goldberg vase showing a beautiful enamel reduction.
Actually Warren posted two beautiful examples of Carl Goldberg vases a while back:

Perhaps the images stuck in my brain, who knows?
Regardless, Warren said I would love it and man, do I ever. It really is quite stunning in hand

Mac, you have a good eye for good stuff! Congratulations on finding this nice example of Goldberg!
Thank you for that but I have to say if it weren't for you and a few others on whom I depend for my glass education I would not have developed my "eye".
Cheers!

In so far as date of production, I am thinking early 1900's.

I love this piece. The surface decoration looks like a Clement Massier ceramic!
Magic piece ... think I now have goldfever!
