Great tunes again!! That is called a "cut-out" or a "punch-out" hole. The record companies put it there. When a record fails to sell, it is returned to the record company. They "punch" it and return it to the market at a discounted price. When I was a kid, I used to get my "punch-outs" back home at my favorite store, Save-O-Rama, which is long gone!!!
