Inherited this watch from my father when he passed away. Could anyone tell me a little more about this watch? (year, name etc) Have looked online and have not come across anything that looks exactly like this watch. Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi,
You have a very nice IWC gentleman's wristwatch with center sweep. This looks like a c.1950's model. Most if IWC's were 18k solid gold. If you can take the back off with a small pocket knife and add a picture of the movement and inside the back cover it would help. It looks like a caliber "89" with 17 jewels.
Forgot to add, this may have a solid gold band also, look for any marks near the buckle.
@ thisoldwatch thank you for your info. I have taken your suggestion and taken pictures of the inside of the watch. Hopefully you would be able to shed some more light on this watch.
@Bellin68 - Thank you!
From your pictures, it looks to be 18k solid gold and has a 17-jewel movement. It is a caliber "89" from the 1950's. It is a very elegant watch.
There is one on eBay at the moment for around £2700.
