I love this necklace, the detail on the bird is phenomenal. I just don't know anything about it. What material it's made of, whether it's native american or Japanese. I think it's silver. It isn't signed, so that doesn't help. Any info on it would be great!

Unfortunately, I think this is probably a knock-off of Zuni work from the 70's or 80's. Its made of golden mother-of-pearl, turquoise, coral, jet, and sterling silver though. Native American jewelry exploded around the time this is from, the natives couldn't keep up with demand so it started coming from China and Mexico... At first glance you'd think its a Zuni piece, but looking more closely, I'd bet that it was from Mexico, or at best a low-quality Zuni piece. Give it to your girlfriend and tell her its valuable, lol!
