There is no more definitive proof of provenance than design books. In this case, after years of assiduously collecting pieces from the Silberband family (I have about 30) which the PMC IV had classified as unknown and I have steadfastly mantained were Kralik, I must admit new evidence, presented by Stephania Zelenko, that they are Heckert, and many were designed by the director of the company, OTTO HAMM, who died in 1905, a fact which also dates them as having been designed before that date.

Since they are mostly huge, I have proudly displayed them all over my apartment. I must admit to being miffed as to their not being Czech. On the other hand, they are Bohemian, and I am amazed at being able to identify both manufacturer and designer. The three pictured above are all from my collection. The first sits on my dining table, full of lilies.

The irony of it all is that I do not have the Zelenko book and do not know how to get it. The drawings were posted by other collectors (thanks, greatsnowyowl).

If anyone can provide me with more pictures, I'll be eternally grateful. I still question other attributions in the book, but not this one.

I think the designer name is Otto Thamm, it appears, with help from translators, he ran the company for his last 10 years.
And yes I think many of the other attibutions in the book are dubious
