1906 This Elaborate Baptism record for my Grandmother was wrote in German although she was in US . I have no idea why it is in German . But it important part of heritage and I love having it :-) On top of photo is John the Baptist baptizing Jesus .
No Idea where this belongs in catagories ? Maybe Religious Items needs to be added ?

What a Great keepsake!! I think you are right about adding a religious category Mani!
Very beautiful piece of family history :) and a wonderful keepsake:)
your very luck to have so many family artifacts still intact Mani, must be a very stable family.
I love that, family items are so special.
Thank Pack and Mikie . I am a keeper of family history I guess . But not sure we are all stable Mikie lol :-)
Thank you Sean :-)
Another great family treasure Mani.
Thanks David :-) and collectibles !
Magnificent!!! Very special, indeed.
Thank you MiKKo !
Simply beautiful. I have a soft spot for these types of items.
Years ago I found several items like these at an antique shop. I used some old family tree skills to track down a descendant. It was a very good feeling to have been able to reunite a family and their treasures. I wrote of it here:

Thanks eccentric ! I am sure link is allowed and very interesting that you cared enough to track family . We all hope our family history stays with our families don't we . I am so fortunate to have so many things keep in family . Now if My Mom wouldn't have thrown out my letters I wrote as a child to movie stars and my shoes the Everly Brothers stepped on I would be happy. if you find a funky pair of gold shoes in your travels they might be mine :-) Thank you for stopping at my post and making such a nice comment !
Thank you so much vetraio !
That is VERY cool Mani !!
Thank you so much Hedge !
Great Family Heirloom and history Mani.
Kevin my Grandmother was Lutheran and although she was born in US she spoke some German and but more than that she sang in German . I have her recording her childhood songs she is singing in German just before she passed away . Her Father was German and Mother Scandinavian. She never spoke German around us unless she was singing which she did a lot as she worked farm. Our Family settled in upper WI it was the first homestead from Germany or actually Prussia it was a very small farming community and it still is ,many of my family still live there and they have a cemetery named for our family it is rather small but she was taken back there as well as many of my family to be buried . She was not Missouri Synod Lutheran though she was Evangelical Lutheran Synod. I went to her church later in her life and no one spoke German there .
Very interesting and I thank you for sharing the question why it was wrote in German .
How did you do at the show ? and when will it be aired do you know yet ?
Thank you Official and Kerry :-)
Kevin, that is exactly how I thought that would go. Too bad, I think it didn't start out that way...fame. I do think that the show made every one think their hunk of junk is worth a million dollars.
So wonderful that you have audio of your GM singing, I would imagine her sisters did the same thing. You could do a video of her singing & a slide show with some of the old family photo's.
I'm posting this while on our trip to Saskatchewan, close to half of the people in Saskatchewan are German-Canadians. Most of these are of Russian descent many are from the U S upper mid west region. There are a large number of Lutheran Churches & cemeteries here.
Mani sent you an email.
Thank you Amber :-)
Sorry I missed this, it really is elaborate, moreso than any other I have ever seen !
Thank you Phil :-) David just took some great photo's in your town and then in my families old homestead Conquest. Ardath and Outlook . I hope he posts a few :-)
Thank you Scandi and inky :-)
