21 jewel, 16 size, lever set, pendent wind, 3/4 plate with gilt lettering, Adj. 5 positions. H. G. Dial
Serial No. 2496618, approx. date of production is 1932
Open Face Case, Railroad Model Case, Rigid Bow.
A letter from the Hamilton Watch Company dated October 6, 1927 states:
TO OUR WHOLESALERS
Subject:- New 16-size Railroad Model Case
Gentlemen:-
We are very pleased to send you to-day a few #992's fitted in a new Railroad model case. The distinguishing features are the new and attractive border and the rigid bow. This model will be known as No. 4.
These cases are made in yellow, white and green gold filled. This with our No. 2 model will make an attractive assortment which we trust will have a general acceptance.
The prices will be,
