I bought this Army Air Corps A-2 Leather jacket at a garage sale. I asked the older woman who the jacket had belonged to and she said her husband had worn this jacket when he was a fighter pilot during ww2. I did a little research and found out indeed her husband was a retired Lt Colonel who served during ww2, Korea, and Viet Nam and he flew missions over Europe and was awarded two Air medal.

Awesome jacket! What a wonderful find!
I love it when someone finds something so "important" thay loan it to a museum!! That's a great way to share your treasure, and at the same time, make sure it is conserved properly!! I have a doll in our local museum. I might just have to visit to get a pic of it.
