I'm amazed that something like this has survived over the years. Kid's toys hardly ever do. The Petretti's book has this gun listed as a 1950s item but I think the type was put under the wrong gun. This gun has the long 'C' trademark on it and I happen to know that this placement stopped after 1941 so I believe this to be a 1930s to 40s gun instead of a 1950s one. Look at the detail inside the popout part. WOW!

Thank you BELLIN, Kevin, Michael, chevy and walksoftly!
Petretti's books list this as 1950s, since his 1982 price guide. Could've been a mistake way back then and never corrected it. Or not. These bang guns were generic items, not produced exclusively for The Coca-Cola Company. Many companies and organizations had these guns produced (even a Baptist church!). In any case, you got more bang for your buck. See what I did there?
True there Ray, I figured as much too. I did see what you did there, Baptist, Bang and,,,,,oh, right!;)
