Barr manufactured conventional and battery operated clocks going back to the early teens of the twenth century, Barr Manufacturing made Two digital models. One with a plain wooden case; the other, a Bakelite model, with an attractive streamlined look and came in black, brown and white, this is the brown model although it looks maroon in person.
Barr digital clocks are uncommon and more uncommon in working order. Barr's mechanism was unique. The numeral wheels are metal and they interlocked by gear teeth on the inside of the wheels.
The clock runs and the Bakelite is in perfect condition, the numbers on the wheels however, are showing their age and have darkened over the years. The cord and plug had to be replaced but other than that it is in original condition. The Barr logo is on the front of the clock.
