Corning Glass Daughters's Head Mascot With Chromium Base. 1927.
Not much more to say, she laughs to the wind ! I imagine the base could easily be illuminated also. Got this at Durrants Auction also, more recently the other day.
I just ordered special lights for all my head ornaments that need a light. They are ingeniusly small, yet bright, and work for all hobbies pretty easy, had to tell the creators they should add the category of hood ornaments to the uses for the lights.
I just found out Aug 20th, 2012 that this is the Daughter's head, which is said to be by Corning, 1920. This info was in the Mascot book by William C. Williams, page 133. The one in the book is set in a dogbone so I may remount it in a dogbone radiator cap in the future, if I find one that will fit, more than likely the one in the pic has been adapted, anyway.
This is smaller than the Mothers head said to be by Corning, and the woman's head by Red Ashay from 1920 is closer in style to the Lalique model.
