It's very heavy for a teapot, but I'm assuming that's what it is. The inside is glazed. I can't make out the markings on the bottom. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea of what this is and how old it is. Do you think there is a value? Thanks!

Sorry, but I believe it's a very recent asian (likely Chinese) import. Produced within the last few years.
      Interior is unglazed?

The inside is glazed and the outside is very dull. Thanks for the info... I was hoping that it was old.

      wow, typos for the win..

Glazed interior doesn't rule out recent production, but had it been unglazed, I could've nailed down CoA to China.
They do a good job of aging by dipping the pieces in a dark brown liquid (which I've been told is very strong tea).

A lot of people mistake the discoloration for age, especially if the piece shows up in an auction or garage sale. You can see some of the darkening on the base of your piece in the signature lines.

Thanks, again. I guess the hunt is still on for that rare find. But, it's fun!
