I NEED HELP FIGURING OUT WHAT THIS IS USED FOR I BOUGHT IT AT AN ESTATE SALE ITS ABOUT 4 INCHES TALL THERE IS A METAL PIN LOOKING THING IT IS LIKE A NECKALCE THAT GOES AROUNG YOUR NECK LOOKS LIKE ITS MADE OF IVORY OR BONE ITS ABOUT 3 TO 4 INCHES TALL

If it were not for the long chain, I would suggest an oiler. Very small 1's were used for oil in antique cased gun sets & for watch makers etc for whale oil. The thin metal stem allowed a small amount of oil to be applied exactly where they wanted it. Your's looks like that but the size & chain throw me off.
