These seats were made from the mid 1860's to the very early 1900's. After the early 1900s the "tin" seat came into existence and became attached to a spring that softened the ride. Most names go with a implement manufacturer but names sometimes were of the selling agency. I painted all these myself as repainting is desired and not frowned upon in the hobby as 99 & 9/10% of the time rust has removed any remnants of original paint. I have found them everywhere from auctions to farm yards and have had many leads from friends.

    Love your collection. I don't collect seats but do have a couple or four. I recently picked up an Acme Duane H. Nash implement seat. Kinda like yours but it has Acme across the top. Thanks for posting.
