Tea and Coffee Spoons.
Why do we keep them?
Because they are beautiful!
I love these little Hanoverian style spoons with their 'turn-up' handles. A bit of 1930's retro!
They are English hallmarked sterling silver.
"EV" = Emile Viner.
Crown = Sheffield
Lion = Sterling
"n" = 1930
They were produced by Viner's of Sheffield, Bath Street, later Broomhall Street. The company was founded by a Jewish family (Viener) who emigrated to England from Germany in the late 19th century. Around 1900 the family settled in Sheffield.Emile Viener and his brother Adolf changed their name to Viner in November, 1925.
They are mint in the box and have probably only been used a few times over the last eighty years. Please excuse the fluff in the box!

Yes it's there in Purple bloom. Not sure what's been going on though. Hunter and the team are bound to be hard at it. Have you contacted him? I'd decided to let it roll. The emails of fifty you mentioned happened all over I'm sure.

Beautiful spoons!! ery much appreciated your concise and salient description! Case is in superb vintage condition. Is this cased set an heirloom?
Enjoyed your keen observation! on the vintage Christmas candles. Hope I didn't seem off-putting. miKKo

Hi miKKo! No, the only noted that the candle collector is in Belgium. The addition of Dutch is the real give-away. These spoons were market purchases. I only have two family pieces, my parents gave it all away to Vinnies when I was young.
Many thanks to slave2G too!
