I was really pleased when this cute little vase arrived the other day. It's quite tactile to handle and feels nice in your hands. It has raised loopy pulled threads and three chubby dimples!

It stands approx...13cm/5.1/4 inches and glows under a black light

If any one can tell me anything about it that would be great, thank you!

Thank you for looking!....:-)

Hi! Hedgewalker I don't seem to have much luck with taking UV photos, they never turn out, any tips?...:-)

Hi Inky,I use the fireworks mode on my camera and it needs to be on a tripod.Of course the UV source is very important. The more the better.

Hedgewalker... I only have a small torch and I don't have a tripod, so I am not going to be able to take a photo of it under you UV light, sorry!...:-(

Very beautiful, but it is also understated enough to play well with a floral arrangement, something many art vases can't do! : )

    hi inky
can't help with information on your lovely vase -- but perhaps i can help with taking uv pics -- go into your camera's menu and turn off the auto flash -- turn on the black lights and snap away -- i don't use a tripod and this works fairly well for me

It does have a 'Nailsea' look about it ;-)))))).... oooooh! to be sure and to find out it is, but I prob never will!.. I will research in that direction, thank you!! thank you so much for your love and comment...:-)

The search will be fun, I'm sure.
Here's a link which specifically mentions the distinctive line pattern..

Historically, I would imagine that an English piece from around 1850 would make sense.

Hello Inky, I’m thinking Thomas Webb actually, I’ve seen a few vases similar sold on eBay attributed to that company, and they sometimes go for a pretty penny!

Hello Shawnl86...thank you stopping and commenting I would love to think this was a Thomas Webb, I shall have to do some researching in that direction....:-)

I can tell you it is not a Whitefriars pattern. Thomas Webb looks like a good bet, the other producer of great vaseline glass was John Walsh Walsh. It looks great, and at only 5 inches must be really delicate.

Thank you very much lovedecanters.. I shall do some more research in that direction....:-)
