An ebay purchase of a modern serica for Leerdam. It is available in seven colours and a clear version as well. The form is reminiscent of the bottles of Floris Meydam. Siem van de Marel is the designer of this series. He began working at Leerdam in 1966 and became head of the Design Department there in 1984. When Floris Meydam left in 1986, van de Marel became the only designer employed by the glassworks on a full-time basis.
If you were to have a full set of these bottles you'd have an amazing rainbow in glass. "Verkrijgbaar in oranje, paars, blauw, rood, geel, groen en helder." The rainbow, a symbol of hope, has been a recurring theme in his design over the years.

He also designed two of the Oranjevaasjes #6 and #12 for Leerdam.
#6 - 50 years of Liberation (Leerdam,1995)
#12 - Juliana 100 (Leerdam, 2009)
It's a tall series.
Each one varies around 42 cm tall or 16.5" !!!
I put it with some other luminous green objects: another little Sebel chair and a Ben Edols zanfirico bottle already on CW.
