It's fun to hear people excitedly exclaim, "We had those on the tree when I was little!" or "My grandparents had ornaments like this!". Christmas ornaments tend to hold great emotional value. They're a wonderful way to be reminded of the past.

I have about a dozen ornaments from the late forties and early fifties that were my parents. You're right, great emotional value. Can't wait to hang them on the tree every year.
I have 3 old large glass(?) ornaments from maybe 1930's or earlier. How do I tell their value? Who could determine that and how? There are no markings on them. I bought them in the 1960's or 70's at an estate sale of ladies were born in the later 1800's, probably 1880's.
