Both are Japanese. The one in photo 1 has age (pre-war) the other is modern.
How could you tell its pre-war ....would this item have much value
That orange and the art deco floral decoration are the hints. You can also check out the mark on the bottom here:

The other place that made similar pieces is Czechoslovakia.

Hi, vase on the left is by Seiei & Co. and should date to about 1930, The company closed around 1960. All four of your vases are definitely keepers.
