Now days smoking is so taboo but at one time it was considered chic or at least something everyone did. I love the Christmas ads the most. Nothing says holiday cheer like a good smoke......LOL! Thanks for looking.

"The safe Pipe - Tobacco", it would be a long time before they admitted this wasn't true.
That first ad is interesting. i think that there is an implication that good children play/pretend to be grown-ups, and beyond that is a more subtle implication that it's okay for kids to smoke cigarettes when they are playing grown-up.
the second ad is a beautiful red-head dressed in a sleek, white dress - looks like a lit cigarette!
i like the typography in the fourth ad.
I never noticed the implied message in the second image, all that I saw was the female form in all it's glory
