   i have been collecting for around five years now, my mom started me off with that pair of green candle sticks in this picture. after recieving those i continued to collect and now i have some 5000+ pieces. thanks for your interest.

   Only FIVE years? 5000 pieces, Holy Moly! That has to be one of the largest collections of Fenton, doesn't it? I thought 500+/- pieces of Savoy was a lot. (...and so did the wife!) Can't wait to see your collection in 5 more years! LOL

   that lamp you have in the background, i got that same lamp for christmas ( was an awesome gift) and i cant find it, anywhere. any knowledge about it youd like to share would be GREATLY appreciated.

   its known as topaz opalescent hobnail with a milky glass bottom. my piece is in mint condition and is older i believe it was made in the late 50's early 60's. im not sure if you have an old lamp like mine is, but if you do and it is like mine it is worth approx. $400.00. thanks

   I have 2 hobnail white lamps, like the ones we were discussing the other day on here with the bottom 'plates'. My husband got them at a job the other day. I'm giving them to my mom. I would LOVE a gone with the wind lamp some day.

    the hobnail lamps are stunning, but they are so expensive and the GWTW lamps are there most popular lamps. good luck, hopefully you will soon own one!

    hi, yes it does have a hole in the top of it. i have now over 50 Fenton hobnail lamps in many different colors. check my other show and tell items, i have a few posted on here. thanks, hope that helps.

    oh, it does? it looks like the 11 inch hanging bowl, must have been turned into a lamp shade. ive looked through alot of your pictures trying to find them actually. how hard are blue opal and french opal student lamps to find?

    hi, it is the same shape as the 11 inch hanging bowl, but there are no holes in it where the chains would go to hang it. i have many connections at the fenton glass company and purchased it straight from them 3 years ago...it was in museum storage. blue opal lamps are relatively hard to find i only have two of them and both of them are in storage at the moment. french opalescent lamps are rare especially with a matching shade. i have only one lamp and its the student lamp shape with the 7 inch shade. i see one listed currently on ebay and they want $2,500 as a starting bid for theirs. hope that helps thanks

    they want 3500 ;) and i bought a ruby student lamp from that same person, i managed to talk him down from his exorbitant 950. and it does thank you i love the student lamps. i really wish that i had your resources, thats for sure

    Hi that seller is so over priced... I laugh at the prices they place on some things. Anyway I really need to stop the collecting. I have been collecting hobnail for 5years or so and I already have 5000 pieces an old Victorian mansion full and a carriage house full with glass. I need to quit but I just love glass and hobnail is my favorite. Thankfully my Job supplies Me with a large amount of disposible income that really helps when creating a large collection. It has been so nice talking with you let Me know if you have anymore questions thanks

    hi, i actually do. it has been packed away for probably 2 years. it has the regular 7 inch amber overlay shade and then the amber overlay fount in the middle. I have a few honey amber overlay lamps.
