2 stunning fenton hobnail cake plates. one is in blue opalescent and the other is done in french opalescent. these are huge piece of glass and very heavy. the first 2 pics are the blue cake plate and the last 2 pics are the french opal cake plate.

Your collection of hobnail is so stunning! I have a few small pieces of hobnail that was my grandmothers that I treasure and keep,I have also had pieces that I have sold but regret that after seeing your beautiful collection.

Mrj303, these were never made in the green color. they were made in the topaz color and that can portray a green color in certain light. thanks for you comment!

Since I see blue/French opalescent used interchangeably - what is the difference?
Your French opalescent looks almost clear......
blue opalescent is blue with white (opalescent) and french opalescent is clear crystal with white (opalescent). they are not the same. blue is more desirable. hope that helps.
They are stunning! I have one in lime green opalescent. Curious that someone said they didn't make this piece in green. . . wondering if I got hornswaggled???
