fenton-hob…
(124 items)
this is a great set of fenton hobnail the amber butter dish is pretty hard to find. it has hobnail everywhere on it and still has the fenton sticker. the blue bowl on the left is a rare item and was made for only a short period of time. the pair of candle holders in the middle are stunning and feature little crystal finger holders. the large vase on the top is amazing and is very hard to find in vase form; these were meant to be lampshades only. fenton would make them with the base and then cut the base off to make it a lamp shade. very few survived being cut off. this is one of the vases, and was not in fenton's general line. it is a hard to find item and these are nearly impossible to find....fenton never meant them to be vases. luckily i have a friend who works at fenton and whenever fenton comes across rare items or one of a kind samples they call me immediately and i usually purchase the items before anyone else has a chance........before fenton sold of their pieces at auction i had a chance to purchase items before the auction was held. lets just say it took two truck loads to bring home...lol

The incredible part is that your collection is diverse, you have so many pieces that i never knew even existed. I admire your collection and thank you for sharing them .
thank you so much for all your comments im glass there is someone on here that i can talk about glass to. i love comparing collections.
Congratulations on your good fortune! Do you have any knowledge of the vintage of the vase or information as to why some of the lamp shades weren't cut? It would look wonderful on a dresser displayed with a matching lamp.
hi patty, the lamp shade vase simply wasnt cut simply because there was no need to cut it. i dont exactly know why this one was spared. these uncut shades are very hard to find. i have only seen 1 other in ten + years of collecting thanks
