"Less is more" is my favorite phrase when it comes to tinting of 19th century images.
This cabinet card is an exception. The artist did a spectacular job on this full tinting job that includes skin tones, brown hair and green eyes.
This is one of the best tinted images that I have come across in my collecting years.
The photograph was taken by Chapman of Austin Texas in the 1880s.
