Here is a hood ornament and I am dedicating this to Michael Fresh, from my photoblog site, who had sent an email of a Petty Girl hood ornament and I mentioned to him some time ago that I had got that piece previously. So here it is.

A side note is that I also realized ( and hence the photo with all the shadows ) that the world of car mascots had pervaded my dreams of late also. And from that dream world I awoke and realized that the dream is a constant work in motion, as I go right into more research and reading and sharpening my hunt skills, as I constantly think and dream mascots. And so the dream goes on, and on, and on, and on...

The Nash girl has the Nash Petty signature on the wing.

An underlying theme of 'restraint' imposed on that young woman in photo 2?
I peeked at Marty's group and mine is the stormtrooper: I didn't count.

What a great job that guy has in pic 2
and is pic # from his imagination???? or did he buy a pair of those X -ray specks from out of the back of the comics of those days...???

I don't think many artists these days have models who will sit for hours in some pose for a hood ornament, let alone a painting.

so glad she still has her heels on while posing :)

I don't think the artist even noticed, so why do you? he seems distracted with his gaze !~ Too funny.

Another amazing post Phil, can't believe I missed this before. Where do you get the bases made? These are just waay too cool!
  12. PhilDavidAlexanderMorris PhilDavidAlexanderMorris, 1 year ago
Thanks pickr, I get the bases from wherever I can secure a decent one. Sometimes I will buy a piece with the bases, such as the ones on this post, and more than a couple times I buy bases from little statues, etc. if I think I can get it cheap enough just so that I can use the base. Have done that more than a couple times but it gets expensive mostly because of postage. And once I got a gift from someone kind enough to give me what they did not need. I need some more and hopefully I can get a friend to do some, as there are some important mascots I do not have a base for. I can wait tho, since I doubt if I will buy any bases again too soon. Thanks for asking, Phil.

She great too. Does the picture in the middle exist as a mascot?
