I saw this cup in an antique store yesterday and immediately thought the colors matched a pair of vases.
When I got it home I was happy to see that the colors were a match (see photo #4 of the cup with one of the pair).
They look good together-- just wish that the seller had more!
Any attribution thoughts are appreciated.

The spatterware section in the Legras catalog is CLICHY. This is not French or English. It's Bohemian. To say who made it? most likely Welz. This type of glassware has been known as "cottage glass" by John Franks who attributed much of it being produced in the Stourbridge region.
Thanks Leah-- I appreciate you looking and posting.
I thought Bohemian as well, but wanted to see what others thought!

Glad to be of help, Scott. :)
Sorry guys, Czech as they come, both of them.
eye4-- Stourbridge region would mean English not Bohemian.

Leah, the book says it's called Clichy but it should be called Legras.
Elisa, I know what the wholesale catalog says, I was the one who found it and passed it on to the GH. The splatter glass you referenced to is Clichy.
I was talking about the legras book. the author of the book says that it is called clichy but that it should be called Legras. And that catalog has been posted to the internet for much longer than the glass hounds has been in existence.
Great, Elisa! Thanks for sharing. Glad we have that cleared.
Thanks majestic and afredo.

Evenin Scott, I'm not much on "glass" but this is an interesting looking piece. Thanks for sharing and thanks all the posters for the info on these types. Learned something new today.
Glad to have you looking kerry.
Be careful glass can be addictive! I was hooked pretty bad for a few years-- now I have toned it back.

Thanks mustang!
