A month ago I was up the end of the street at Vinnies and saw this basket. I had just a new post on my belt buckle and I had been looking at some of the beautiful American baskets on CW. It caught my eye. The colours are so earthy. But the straw itself is unlike the other Papuan pieces that I use at home. I am wondering if anyone can give me an opinion about it.

The design of the six pointed stars reminds me of my silver belt buckle on CW:

It had raised some questions about the nature of a six pointed star.

It is 35 cm across. That's 13.9 inches.

I first thought of Amazonian baskets but after ozmarty's comment, African seems a better option... but who knows!

      I'd thought Apache.....

The basket is beautiful, but I'm afraid I cannot help. A little out of my grounds.
