This was a find at an estate sale several weeks ago, just getting around to sorting them out.
I bought two large boxes of “Model Engineer Magazine, The Magazine For The Mechanically Minded”, around 300 in all, dating back to 1955.
These are not plastic models, these are scale metal models that you build from scratch and machine the parts on lathes, milling machines, drill presses, etc.
As you can see, they cost one Shilling each. They were imported from England, printed in London and published every Thursday.
Some of the stuff these people build is amazing.
A lot of great reading for $10.00!
