This is a 1950 magazine advertisement for Franciscan Fine China made in California by the Gladding, McBean & Co., Los Angeles. The color ad measures 9 3/4" wide by 12 3/4" high. The main pattern shown is the "Mariposa" pattern and along the bottom of the ad from left to right are the "Chelan", "Woodside", "Arcadia Green", "Westwood", "Del Monte", "Fremont" and "Palomar" patterns.
Franciscan introduced their Fine China line in 1942. This was marketed as Franciscan Masterpiece China after 1958 and production continued in the United States until 1978.
