MY COUSIN PETE FOUND THIS IN A OLD HOME IN OLD RICHMOND TOWN STATEN ISLAND NEW YORK. ALONG WITH DISCHARGE PAPERS FOR THOMAS JEFFERSON SETTLE, DATED 1931 WHO WAS A NAVY SIGNALMAN. HE ALSO HAS PHOTO'S OF BATTLE SHIPS AND OTHER WAR SITUATIONS FROM THAT TIME PERIOD. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PHOTO AND SIGNALMAN SETTLE.

The photo of Barry Goldwater, a candidate for the U.S. presidency in 1964. He was a senator from Arizona. The signature is probably printed. The "Arizona" was a battleship sunk at Pearl Habour on 7 December 1941.
Try seaching the web using the quotation marks for "thomas jefferson settle".
There are a number of results. The ones I briefly looked at refer to someone in the 1800's.
